Hm, no one is on gtalk, i guess ill just have to share my experience here:

Last night, just before I going to bed (around 4ish), my roommate came in. Outside, he had about 4-5 korean people he was drinking with so I assume he was coming in drunk. O wait, as I'm writing this, he is sleeping behind me and just let out a big fart. Lol. Okay, back to the story. He basically came in... fell down on the floor on his butt laughing.
"Are you drunk, __?" I said to him.
"No, no," he replied. He came up to me, shook my hand a few times and said: "You're the best roommate ever, you know i love you man. Your better than my last roommate." I asked him, "you had another roommate?" He said: "Yeah, in Korea, in high school, my old roommate would always drink, smoke, party, and curse words loudly." I thought in my mind... isn't that what your doing now?
He continued: "I was worried about my roommate when I got here. My parents were worried too. You know, i didn't always smoke. My mom smoked and I got sad. I even cried. Then during the summer, my friends were doing it all the time around me. I hated it."
"so, why don't you quit?" I asked, "you know they have those nicotine patches."
He said, "I can't, I'm addicted, it's like I smoke a pack a day." Then I thought to myself... yeah, i've noticed.
"Are we alright?" His hand extended for another handshake. "Yeah.. sure," I said. As i was sitting infront of my computer, he hugged my shoulders, gave me a back rub, and said "this is how we show love in Korea" Then he fell again on his butt beside my chair. He got up, said "cya mike", fell again infront of the door, walked out, closed the door, and went back to his guests. That was one very awkward moment in time. Not only that, it showed me what tobacco and alcohol does to any person.

Plus, I am near my smell threshold. I can't take much more of this weird BO emanating from his side of the room, his cigarette residue that creeps in with him, and all the smell of odd, Asian foods (mostly ramen) that he cooks up. My other suitemates were talking about it last night. They're more fed up than I am but I think I get the most exposure to it all. Eh, hopefully things will work out.

welp, back to hermit island. you can find me on gtalk late at night.

Comments:
